(Ian MacKaye sample) Within what felt like ten minutes I came in so prepared and left unfinished. I got so nervous of feeling worthless that I built myself up and diminished the purpose. When I spoke, I ate my own words. Choke on the nouns, and throw up the verbs. Consumed by a silence like you'd never heard, I digested what had just occurred. (Sample)/ We talked in the same proximity, but my mouth was blocked by the auxilary. Not engaged or impatient, either way I went vacant, with a look on my face I had thought to be blatant. Spent forever on the same fucking street, stuck inside my head and glued to a seat. They were stuck behind a wheel or glued to a phone. I was on my own devices the whole ride home. And am I holding my breath or am i losing my breath? Self awareness, my biggest threat. If you can't relate to what I can't convey, then I guess I had nothing to say. Ran out of nothing to talk about. Something finally gave then my lungs gave out. A nervous wreck despite the car not breaking down. We made it home without a sound. (Sample)
